ALICE HARDY

Year 11-12 Design Studies, Year 11-12 Visual Arts, Year 11-12 Design & Technology, University Design

Hi my name is Alice, I’m a graduate from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Interior Design and 3D design. I am currently working as a freelance interior designer on a variety of projects in residential and commercial spaces. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge in art and design. In Visual Arts, I tutor students in art history and criticism, essay writing, interpreting art and art language. Art making: concepts, drawing, art making techniques and visual process diary. For design subjects I can assist in developing students' understanding of design ideologies and styles. I can support students in design thinking and strategies, concepts, process, theory, developing your work as a designer and understanding how to design for manufacturing using fabrication technologies (3D printing, laser cutting and CNC). I can help students with software programs such as Autodesk Revit & 3D Studio Max, rendering in Vray and Mental Ray, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I can tutor in hand drawing in perspective and technical drawings for Interior and 3D design. As a tutor I am passionate about art and design and see the potential in every student to succeed. Having had tutoring during my HSC I can relate to the experience of exams, major works, deadlines and pressure. I am determined to provide quality tutoring so that students feel more confident in their studies.

SHELLY MEEDIN

Primary, 7-10: Maths English, Sciences, 11-12: Physics, Biology, Chem, Maths, University: general Biology, Chemistry & Anatomy

My name is Shelly and I'm currently a dental student studying at an Australian University. I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from a Canadian university. I have also been on the Dean's Honour Roll and a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society. To add to my academic experience, I have also worked as a lab assistant for the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University, in British Columbia, Canada. I'm passionate about teaching sciences and would love to share my knowledge and teach components in manageable amounts so students are fully able to understand it and apply it to real-world situations. I can teach all subjects but my personal favourite subjects are English, tertiary level General Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology. My schedule is quite flexible and I'll be happy to meet close to the Griffith University (Gold Coast Campus)
