Hi, my name is Kirinya and I am passionate about the value of education and providing every student with the resources and support they need to optimise their potential. I am currently on my way to enter a career in Mathematics education and I am beyond excited to start creating engaging lessons and inspiring in students a lifelong love of learning. Studying a Bachelor of Mathematics Teaching provides me with an abundance of quality information regarding effective teaching practices while supporting my understanding of curriculum and familiarity with the NSW syllabi. During high-school, I studied a range of high level courses including Advanced and Extension English, and Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics. My commitment to achieving in my areas of studies was reinforced by my HSC results when I secured Senior DUX of Scone Grammar School in 2016. I have gone on to achieve nine High Distinctions, one Distinction, and five credits during my first two years of study at Newcastle University. I am eager to start building students’ confidence in their own abilities and look forward to providing encouragement and support.
